| If you're searching for a SBT, how and where you look WILL impact the future of the breed. Remember this is a breed valued for! Make temperament your FIRST and most important criteria when choosing. LEARN WHAT the TEMPERAMENT of a STAFFYBULL IS SUPPOSED TO BE! (Hint: read the breed standard) Please avoid pet stores, puppy mills, irresponsible backyard-breeders (who breed scatterbred dogs, and/or their pets without a clue what their faults or strengths are) and anyone breeding for show LOOKS first!! The following dogs are Ambassadors & examples of what the breed should be. They're either owned by me, or by pet owners willing to help YOU learn about the SBT. Their owners are examples of responsible protectors, and have volunteered to answer your questions while you research. They know what to expect while searching and raising a SBT; hopefully their experiences will help you decide if this is the right dog for you. click here to email me |
Temperament - Quote from the Breed Standard: "From the past history of the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, the modern dog draws its character of indomitable courage, , and tenacity. This, coupled with its affection for its friends, and children in particular, its off-duty quietness and trustworthy stability, makes it a foremost all-purpose dog." What is the opposite of COURAGEOUS? Fearful, shy or timid. What is the opposite of TENACIOUS? Lazy, indifferent or detached. What's the opposite of HIGHLY INTELLIGENT? Slow to learn; hard to train. What's the opposite of TRUSTWORTHY STABILITY? Unstable/unpredictable nature. The opposite of an AFFECTIONATE dog (who especially loves children) is a dog who is wary of strangers and nerved-out by children playing. The opposite of an OFF-DUTY QUIET dog is a dog who won't be calm in the house and is a constant barker. Please do your homework; be sure you support ONLY those breeders who are diligent, making their dogs prove by heart, mind and soul that they're worthy of reproducing. (SBT MUST be bred to standard in temperament. Accept no "good looking but dumb" or "cute but afraid of their shadow" imitation staffords. Your children and the future of the breed are counting on you.) |

Angel Rock Battle of Jericho Say hello to Dash! Standing 14.5 inches tall, weighing 36 pounds, this little rock is another really fast learner and is super affectionate, welcoming all with a smile, wag and a gentle kiss. He's a quiet, tender-natured easy-keeper who just wants to obey and hang out with the family, sleeping on your feet if you're busy or playing when you say it's play time. He's line-bred Angel Rock, so it's not surprising that he sleeps through thunder but comes immediately to a whispered call of his name .... don't let the calm demeanor fool you - he hears and understands just about everything. OH, and he opens doorknobs with his two little paws and other amazing things. :) |

| Angel Rock Misfit Misfit is very active,
confident, intelligent, and strong willed. He loves his people, loves to cuddle, loves to
chase sticks and balls, he also swims ... and he's an accomplished brownie thief. Misfit
takes after his mother Queen in that he's powerful, muscular, fit and driven - but like
her - he also has this composed silence to him. He'll just sit on the porch in the front
and back yard and just watch what is going on in the outside world. |

Georgie lives in Canada with DJ, Beka and his best friends Halley and Brody . . . oh, and now he has his own cat as well. Georgie is an excellent example of what a staffybull should be, calm, happy, obedient but full of personality and FUN, always a joy to live with. Everybody loves Georgie - including the cat who is overly protective of Georgie and can get belligerant if other dogs come around him. |

Angel Rock Aint Superstitious Louie's back! Little miss short and sassy herself . . . here's a new photo of her from 2009, and an older picture from when she was about 10 months. Louie's a pampered dollbaby who thinks the world revolves around her. We cannot imagine where she got that idea. ;) |

Angel Rock Abigail Abby is a tiny girl with a huge heart and personality. A country girl, she loves her fresh warm goat's milk - and though she's only about 13 inches tall, she's a pocket-sized powerhouse that'll gladly take on the wild animals who wander onto her property. But her favorite thing of all is to be wherever the children are. Because Abby is a daughter of the Wonderful and Amazing GROMIT, it's not surprising that she's much more than just a dog. Gromit possessed more personality, intuition and heart than any dog I have ever encountered. And with the bold and bombproof, calm and steady, obedient and silent Obi as her father, she's worth her weight in gold just that much more. Dogs like Abby are why the breed earned the nickname "nanny dog." We look forward to the day when Abby may become a mommy of more incredible little Staffybulls like herself. |

Angel Rock Saxon Honey Honey, AKA "Fred" is a plucky little stafford who lives in Georgia with Sabrina and family. Fred is Obi's daughter, and predictably she loves children and loves to play. She learned fast, is smart and affectionate and has a favorite horse-friend. She doesn't play well with squirrels, but she's finally learning to tolerate chickens. Fred is 14 inches high, rather well-boned and substantial. Photos at one year etc.

Angel Rock Casey WHAT a doll! Casey is Goliath's littermate sister -- she's an incredible little Stafford with personality to spare. Casey excelled in her obedience classes and is busy making a positive impression and showing the world what StaffyBulls are all about. And, to top it off, she's gorgeous. Here she is at 9 months. She's 15 inches tall ---- we'll post newer photos when time allows. Casey at 9 months:

| Angel Rock Foundation dogs Angel Rock history began when I fell in love with some of the UK SBT of the 70's, 80's and 90's. I began with dogs that had these old lines and exemplary traits, and have worked to improve and keep this old heart, soul and body alive for the future fans of the SBT. |
